It was 20 years ago this week that an Irishman; born of a catholic Father and protestant Mother, proclaimed that WE are ONE.
Paul Hewson, known to the world as Bono, and U2 released on this week, ONE album (acthung baby), ONE song, ONE message...
"We're ONE, but we're not the same..."
That singular message became a movement, a grass roots organization, co-founded by Bono.
ONE has partnered with fashionABLE, a company that creates economic opportunities for women in Ethiopia by employing them to create beautiful handmade scarves.
Each scarf style is named for ONE of the women that works with fashionABLE, and a hangtag comes with each scarf with a handwritten note. My scarf was handmade by Dember, so next time you see me wearing a scarf, ask me about it...
